The 4th Book in the Gretchen Lowell/Archie Sheridan series gives Susan Ward the chance to have the spotlight focused on her and for Gretchen Lowell to take a step back. The book focuses on the flooding of Portland and a new serial killer that is staging his killings as drownings. The book finds some of the new and old characters having their lives put at risk once again. Archie and Susan's relationship appears to grow in this book and makes the reader question the true depth of their bond. I look forward to the next book in this series to see how the characters develop and progress. While Gretchen wasn't a major player in this book, I still found this book to be an enjoyable read.
