If you’ve been anywhere on the Internet these past few months, chances are, you’ll have heard of Game of Thrones. For the past 6 years, this TV show has been capturing the hearts of millions of viewers, and has generated a fan base spanning across countries and continents. But before it was a world-famous TV series, it was a book, and it all started with A Game of Thrones, the first book in George R. R. Martin’s colossal 7-part fantasy series, known as A Song of Ice and Fire. Set against a magnificently detailed world, A Game of Thrones combines fantasy and history with politics and delivers an exceptional story: one with complex, 3-dimensional characters, a richly woven and intricate plot, and a gorgeously imagined setting. Addictive and intense, striking and vivid, A Game of Thrones explores the line between good and evil, and creates a brilliantly engaging storyline that draws you in completely and never lets go. Without a doubt, it is certainly Martin’s finest work. 5/5 Stars - @Apis of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
