From the director of "Once" and "Begin Again" comes another heartwarming film about the ways in which music can impact a person's life. "Sing Street" is a coming of age story set in Dublin, Ireland, and while the plot tends to be predictable, I still found this to be an entertaining film. The child actors are charming, which is particularly impressive because most are unknowns. Fans of the 80s will enjoy "Sing Street" because it is very much a portrait of that decade with a soundtrack to match. I enjoyed watching the kids work their way through the popular bands of the time while trying to find belonging in a band of their own.
