This is a 2014 American historical docudrama produced and directed by Angelina Jolie, based on the 2010 non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand. Depicting survival, resilience and redemption, the film focuses on the life of USA Olympian and athlete Louis "Louie" Zamperini, portrayed by Jack O'Connell. Surviving in a raft for 47 days after his bomber crash landed in the ocean during World War II, he endures an unbearable hardship and sadistic brutality. You would love to hate Corporal Watanabe to hell. It is a thought-provoking film about humanity and brutality.
