Excellent movie, and one of my new favorites. Have not yet seen the other films in Edgar Wright's "Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy", but after seeing this film, I definitely plan to. This is a smart satire of the 'buddy cop action comedy' films of the 80s and 90s, and it spoofs the genre well, but is a really great acton comedy on its own too. The characters are well-written and developed, and the relationship that ultimately blossoms between Pegg and Frost's seemingly opposite characters is nice. There's not a lot of action until the last half of the film, but when you get to the last half, oh man. The final shootout is amazing, and the scale and pacing of it is excellent. Lots of well-made, slickly edited action scenes, and the comedy moments made me laugh out loud as well. Also, I have to commune ton the cinematography, which is usually good in British stuff, and it's the same here, really top-notch. All in all, I really love this film, and you haven't seen it , and you are a fan of such films, you should really watch it, at least once. Though it's been said already, I still think I should let anyone who cares know, there is some graphic violence and pretty strong language in this film. Bloody, somewhat disturbing images, and over 10 uses of the f-word, as well as 1 use of c*nt.
