I've been a long time fan of Jeremy Wade and the River Monsters series - and I've been waiting for a long time to read this book. And I must say, it didn't let me down! Although I knew most of the stories from the tv show it was still a fascinating read. The writing moves on so many levels and goes into such depths sometimes that I was very positively surprised. An excellent book, it was impossible to put it down!

My 11-year old son and I enjoy watching the t.v. series of the same name. The author/show host, Jeremy Wade, is a world-champion angler whose passion for adventure in far-off locales and extreme angling is captured in this book. He is an eloquent and thoughtful writer and the book's chapters complement the series' episodes.
