Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague.nbsp;nbsp;Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.

For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.

Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder.nbsp;nbsp;Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger?

Mitch Albom had that second chance.nbsp;nbsp; He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life.nbsp;nbsp;Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college.nbsp;nbsp;Their rekindled relationship turned into one final "class": lessons in how to live.

Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

Tuesdays with Morrie is amazing. It was a book that I couldn't put down because Morrie just tells it like it is - what's important in life. Life isn't about what society says it should be. Life is about love and family.

Really a good book. Easy to read, but thought provoking and just as good on the second reading.

This book is a gem. In a nutshell, it is about how a relationship should be when it comes to mentoring a disciple about life, companionship, career, and goals.

Take it slow and read it by the fire or under a lampshade.

Really love this book. Good explanation about things that we are wondering in this life (family, love, marriage, happiness, aging). Hope to have someone like Morrie to guide your life.

no stars - when Morrie said, "pretty soon someone was gonna have to wipe my ass", I put the book down, this, I thought, is the opposite of wisdom, this is the rejection of dignity, something without which I wouldn't want to live

This is such a heartwarming read! You will laugh, cry, and need to take moments to think about the profound things Morrie says throughout the book. This book made me wish I had known Morrie personally!

Good book on the process of old age, sickness and death. Preferred The 5 Invitations and Who Dies, but that is just me....
Author has found his niche and is very adept at it...

Too harmonious, grand, and overwhelming a universe to believe that it's all an accident.

“The truth is, when our mothers held us, rocked us, stroked our heads -none of us ever got enough of that. We all yearn in some way to return to those days when we were completely taken care of - unconditional love, unconditional attention. Most of us didn't get enough.”
