While videotaping therapy sessions with traumatized patients, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) unwittingly exposes terrifying revelations of multiple victims whose claims of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details. Based on actual case studies, The Fourth Kind uses Dr. Tyler's never-before-seen archival footage alongside dramatic reenactments to present the most disturbing evidence ever documented in this provocative thriller critics are calling 'terrifyingly real' 'The most shocking alien abduction movie to date.' - Tim Anderson,"--Container.

This science fiction and thriller film is about the town of Nome, Alaska that has had a strange number of people go missing every year since the 1960’s. No one knows where they are going, until a psychologist discovers during her investigations that there have been reports of alien abductions. This movie is like many other alien abduction movies where no one knows what’s happening and then suddenly - gasp - aliens! This movie did have some interesting scenes that were shot in unique ways and had good juxtaposition, but other than that the movie didn’t really have that much going for it. I would rate this movie 3/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

There's a lot of serious emoting in this, but it just doesn't pay off. Plus the commentaries at the beginning and end that "this is real, and based on true events" come off as corny and ham-handed as it is in no way real, and lacks the terror and build of the Blair Witch Project.

Suspend reality for an hour and half, and this film can be mildly entertaining. Check the facts, and it's a total farce. Example; look up a current picture of Nome, Alaska - then look at the settings in the Movie; case closed.

Not much of a UFO chickie, but i really liked this. The cast and crew make such a play that it's based on real events and much of the footage is NOT doctored, i actually looked it up!...yeah, they got me.

This film was enjoyable, a good scary, alien abduction film. It's annoying, however, that this movie was marketed as a "based on true events", but still worth watching.

Its fun to be Milla Jovovich when you are so HOT!!!! but this is a C+ DVD.

I love Milla Jovovich and still could barely say this movie was average. A total hoax. Not based on real events, but Blair Witch'ed it's way into some media hype. Really just a pretty lame tale of alien abduction. A farce.

Incident is not real. Bad story.

This is the scariest movie of its kind I've seen. There's something going on.
