A fictionalized story about Lucy Maude Montgomery and her cat, Daffy. The author uses the cat to give us a glimpse, albeit brief, of LM's life and the special relationship she had with the cat.

Story is a bit on the schmaltzy side, with some familiar fiction tropes popping up. Illustrations are impressionistic oil paintings, with are pretty.
