GREAT 1970 Barbra Streisand romantic comedy - quick 96 minutes which does have quite a bit of 70's style cursing/swearing adult language. Barbra did have quite an ensemble of show off dressage all through.

Can you imagine 2 years following her phenomenal success in 1968's "Funny Girl" and Barbra Streisand was now back and trying desperately to show the audience how hip she was to the times (and what a diversified actress she could be) by playing a cheap NYC slut?

Well - Welcome back, Barbra.

And, let me tell ya, plain and simple - If ever there was a shrieking, shrill, irritating, yakking, abrasive, castrating, white-trash whore in existence - Streisand certainly epitomized this character perfectly.

This would be a non-singing part for Streisand - And, if only she had sung a few tunes that might've helped to save this truly despicable picture from sinking right down into the gutter of pure sluttiness.

(*Trivia notes*) - Streisand was paid $1 million to play the part of Doris, the whore.

Streisand not only said the word "fuck" in this picture, but she also exposed her breasts, too. (These 2 things have since been deleted from this movie on DVD release due to Streisand taking legal action to have it so).... Ho-Hum!
