Born in Tacoma, Washington (1903) - (singer/actor) Bing Crosby was a multiple award-winner in both music and film. His trademark warm bass-baritone voice made him one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, having sold over one billion records and tapes, worldwide.

The first multimedia star, from 1931 to 1954 Crosby was a leader in record sales, radio ratings, and motion picture grosses. His laid-back, intimate singing style influenced many of the popular male singers who followed him, including Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Dick Haymes, and Dean Martin.

This "Best Of Bing" CD contains 12 tracks in all which were recorded by Crosby (along with accompanying musicians) in the years from 1936-1957.

*Note* - In 1977 - Bing Crosby (74 at the time) died of a heart attack.

VERY GOOD set of 12 familiar tunes sung by Tacoma's Harry 'Bing' Crosby.
