Nice story. I enjoyed it, I liked the characters, they are unbelievably likable. The main character, Gia, has the problems of the most popular girl in school in California, so I suppose 0,0000001% of population (not precise number, don’t count;)) can feel her real pain, but I like to use my imagination, so I liked to try to walk in her high heel shoes, I really did. I’d like to read it one day again (it is really fast-reading)), so I surely recommend it to someone who wants to read something light and sweet. :)

I love this book so much! I've read all of Kasie West's books but I think this one is probably my favorite!!!

I cannot express how much I am in love with this book! I am by NO means an avid romance reader or even an average romance reader, but this book was astounding! I love the way Kasie West portrayed Gia in this story unlike most authors within romance novels. I feel as though most girls in romance novels are overly sexualized or proclaim to be under the "standard beauty" line. Gia, in this story, is directly in the middle. With this, "The Fill-in Boyfriend" is a straight 10/10 for me. I would even give it a 11/10 because of how good it was!

Gia is the popular Queen B of her high school and it comes as no surprise that she was dumped right during prom. Because she has bragged so much of this so-called boyfriend that no one’s ever seen, Gia needs a replacement fast. Hayden also happened to be in the same parking lot where Gia was dumped so she was quick to ask the favor. Hayden met all her friends and things seemed fine, except they couldn’t stop bringing him up. Eventually, the lies that she has been telling everyone start to pile up on her and becomes even worse when she starts to want Hayden for a real boyfriend. This was so sweet and the characters were also very charming. The plot complimented the romance perfectly and it really engaged the audience. Rating:5/5

This book grabs your attention, and holds onto it until the very end. It is written in such a way, that you feel what the main character is feeling. I would highly recommend this book to any young adult who loves romance and some conflicts.

Such a cute read! It’s the perfect quick read with an amazing plot. The story line is so good that you want to keep reading and reading until you've read the whole book in a couple hours like I just did. This follows an unlikely romance between Gia and Hayden who meet after Gia breaks up with her boyfriend in the parking lot before prom. Moments later she meets Hayden who pretends to be her boyfriend for the night. It then follows them being there for each other and falling in love and they are honestly just the cutest couple. Rating 5 out of 5 stars. - @Fallenangelhushhush of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Like most books i read i love this book. Considering that i finished the book in 4 hours. It was a really light book honestly if you dont want to read something to heavy this is the book for you. I loved how Gia changed in the book and how she saw that she didn't have to be perfect all the time. Of course there were a few loose ends and cringy parts that i just couldnt deal with. I didn't like the ending and how Gia didn't make up with her friends. But besides that i really really loved this book. i loved how Hayden was really cool and the little games that him and Gia would play. Well your just going to have to read the rest and find out what happens and all those cringy parts.
