"A Walk on the Moon" captures the illicit love affair between a married housewife and a traveling salesman in the summer of 1969, the year of the moon landing and Woodstock. Pearl (Diane Lane) is a woman who married and had children young, and who now feels she missed out on the free teenage years she should have had. Her straight-laced husband, Marty (Liev Schribner), is a tv repairman who is stuck at work repairing tv sets while his wife and kids are at the family's annual summer camp retreat, and a stark contrast to Walker (Viggo Mortensen), the wandering blouse salesman who sets hearts aflutter and tempts Pearl to experience the freedom she longs for. Also features an excellent performance by the young Anna Paquin as Pearl's daughter, Alison.
