I've had a lot of interest in psychology, and this book has amped that up a million times. Like whoa. Even if you're not keen on psychology, this book is intriguing and has a great format for reading.

Great book.... Read lots of stuff I had learned elsewhere but it is all in this beginners guide (14 years & up?). I DO NOT feel this is just a book for young adults/kids though.

News stories happen EVERY YEAR where psychological concepts that are outlined in the pages of this book, are part of the news story. For example, the 'bystander effect' based on an assault/murder of a person where MULTIPLE people heard things were going on but NO-ONE did anything.
