V (album) by Maroon 5 is the next album following their previous album called ‘Overexposed’. Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band, previously known as Kara’s Flowers and released their first album called ‘Songs about Jane’ in June, 2002. The members of ‘Maroon 5’ include Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, James Valentine, Matt Flynn and PJ Morton This album was recorded when the band (Maroon 5) had gained a lot of attention through popular songs such as ‘Moves Like Jagger’ (recorded alongside Christina Aguilera) and ‘Payphone’. The songs within the album can be classified as pop rock, as the tone is generally lighter and smoother. Some songs are up-tempo while others are downtempo, for example ‘Animals’ is more so an up-tempo song and ‘Lost Stars’ is a downtempo song. Some of my favourite songs within this album are ‘Sugar’, ‘Animals’, ‘Maps’ and ‘It was always you’. I personally enjoyed listening to the songs in the album and I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of pop or rock (or both).

Honestly anyone on here who gives this a bad comment/rating couldn't be more wrong. Maroon 5 and the music they produce is so much more than just music. There are literally only two songs on the album I don't like ('My Heart is Open', and 'Sex and Candy'), and all the rest I absolutely love. 'It Was Always You' is one of my favorite songs of all times, only falling shortly behind 'Magic', by Coldplay. In fact, this album is by far Maroon 5's best yet. But then, it all depends on your music taste, and a lot of people out there don't have good music taste (this is evident, as a lot of people like country music...) Totally kidding. People are entitled like what kind of music they want. So don't talk about how "Maroon 5 doesn't even feel like a band anymore - it's become a business, coldly churning out a packaged product." -Honestly, that comment was very offensive (anthonylb, if you think it sounded cool and poetic and well written.... just no. Go take a writing class). I happen to know a lot more about Maroon 5 than probably anyone who left a comment here; their music is their life, and they put their souls in to it. Every aspect of it, Matt's drums, Mickey's bass, PJ's piano, Jesse and James's electric guitars, and of course Adam's singing, is so beautiful I'll never understand how something could touch me so deeply. If you don't like Maroon 5, shut it and go complain to someone else. Don't leave bad reviews. Just saying. They can be pretty offensive. So overall, AMAZING ALBUM. Yes it has some cussing in some songs, so if that's offensive to you, don't listen to those songs. But trust me, it's a great album. :D

Maps is a good song. I love it.

Maps is a relatively good song. I liked it when it first came out, because the lyrics were great and the music reminded me of the Wake-Up Call era. Animals was terrible the first time I heard it, and it will always be terrible to me. Ditto Sugar. I haven't heard any of the other songs, but Maroon 5's best work was Songs About Jane. Just saying.

This is a awsome album it has all my favorite Maroon 5 songs.

I recomend you buy it on iTunes after listining to it here first.

I like half of the songs on this Maroon 5 album/CD. My top songs are(literally the first five songs):
1. Sugar
2. Animals
3. Maps
4. It Was Always You
5. Unkiss Me

The hooks are big and any given song sounds great on a car radio. But when you actually sit and listen to the whole album, you realize that, as with "Overexposed", there's simply not much there. Maroon 5 doesn't even feel like a band anymore - it's become a business, coldly churning out a packaged product.
