Paige Rawl has been HIV positive since birth, but growing up, she never felt like her illness defined her. On an unremarkable day in middle school, she disclosed to a friend her HIV-positive status ... and within hours the bullying began. From that moment forward, every day was like walking through a minefield. Paige was never sure when or from where the next text, taunt, or hateful message would come. Then one night, desperate for escape, fifteen-year-old Paige found herself in her bathroom staring at a bottle of sleeping pills. That could have been the end of her story. Instead, it was only the beginning.

Growing you she had HIV but she didn't tell anyone until one day when she told her friend of the illness she had and that was the day when she started getting bullied form students at her school. From that day forward her life was a battlefield; never knowing where or when an insufferable message, taunt, or text would a come from. finally, one night she divided to end all the pain when she saw an bottle of pills. the suicide attempts was unsuccessful, Paige then turned too this tragedy into a triumph when she realized that she would turn her experience to bring inspiration and hope for others who have the same struggles she had; bullying.
This is the current "The Today's Show Book Club" pick. Very inspiring young woman, she is a anti-bullying crusader and HIV/AIDS educator. Check out her site: www.paigerawl.com
